Monsanto has begun work on a $56 million “greenhouse” project in Chesterfield, according to a building permit filed with St. Louis county this week. The project is at 700 W. Chesterfield Parkway.
There have been 325 improvements to this property over the past 8 years, for a total of $164,445,386.00, but this is by far the largest single project. Monsanto shares this site with Pfizer, and many of the listed permits were filed on behalf of Pfizer. You can view all projects at this property here.
Alberici Constructors Inc, one of the top contractors in St. Louis according to BuildZoom’s ranking algorithm, is doing the work. We’ve reached out to them for comment and will post more information if they respond.
The permit, displayed below, is short on specifics about the project itself, but it is laid out in more detail at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
