Buildzoom has uncovered several building permits that reveal details of the construction underway on Hertz Corporation’s new headquarters in Estero, Florida. The foundation and vertical steel structural permit is valued at $63 million, and the shell of the three story building comes in at $30 million, bringing the total to just over $90 million.
The completed structure will have about 240,000 square feet of office space on three stories, along with a three story parking garage and a 5,000 s.f. car showroom/sales center. The executives moving down from New Jersey will also be able to enjoy “two sporting courts,” a jogging trail, and a day care facility for the kids.
[threecol_two]One earlier (2013) permit application submitted by Hertz suggests that the first office structure may be later accompanied by a second, smaller structure in a Phase 2 project. The structures are targeted to achieve LEED Gold status through water-saving mechanisms, recycled building materials, and solar panels.[/threecol_two]
