Harvard University is putting the finishing touches on a $29 million renovation of Baker Hall, a residence attached to Harvard Business School. According to permits flagged by BuildZoom, the project to refresh the 1970s era dorm started at the beginning of 2014.
[threecol_two]Residents are participants in the Executive Education program; basically, leadership training for leaders. This is very much an “executive” dormitory, not your typical frat house. Upgrades include modern student dorms, integrated technology, safety and structural improvements, and landscaping. The building should qualify for LEED Gold status after the work is complete.
(Check out the render of one of the 165 single rooms with attached baths: is that a dorm or a Hyatt?) The renovations are part of a $1 billion dorm refresh that the university began in 2012.[/threecol_two]
