Breaking ground back in late April 2014, the project will likely be completed in 2017 at a total cost of $200 million, although the current permits are valued at $150 million. The hospital currently operates within the HealthPark Medical Center, but the new building will be dedicated to the unique needs of children’s health. It will include state-of-the-art facilities and intensive care units, along with about 150 new patient beds, an MRI suite, family lounges, an outdoor playground, and an emergency department.
