Back in December we shared some of the notable marijuana build-outs across the US, which illustrated how the Colorado construction industry was benefiting from the pot economy. More recently, our permit records reveal that The Augusta Group had started a $650,000 tenant improvement project to build a marijuana grow facility in an office park at 482 North Laredo Street.
The permit records do not reveal the client, however a county quitclaim deed shows the parcel was transferred last July to Michalik & Associates, LLC, a few months before Augusta started a permitted demolition project on the property.
The grow facility is conveniently located near the Springhill Golf Course, Pickens Technical College and a Burger King, however it isn’t yet clear if this was planned or merely coincidence.
