The Columbus Museum of Art is looking to increase its footprint and its national standing as an institution of fine art in 2015. The museum, according to reports and newly issued construction permits, is moving forward with a $33 million renovation, expanding the facility by 65,000 sf and renewing 32,000 sf of existing space.
[threecol_two]The permit reveals that Corna Kokosing Construction, based in Westerville, Ohio, will be handling the project.
This is third and final phase of a $63 million plan for improvement that has been in the works since 2009. The museum has more than 10,000 works of art, and plans to use the new wing as large-scale event space. The museum will remain open during construction, which is slated for completing in fall 2015.[/threecol_two]
