Apple is expanding its Austin, TX campus with two new buildings to house its new “Americas Operations Center”. The entire campus is projected to cost $305 million, and will be fully operational in 2021.
[threecol_two]Much of the buildings’ power will be generated with solar panels and other green tech. The most recent permits show that buildings 6 and 7 are approved for construction, at a cost of around $24 million each. (Oddly, there is a single dollar difference in the valuations of the permits.)
The offices will house HR, accounting and other operations divisions for US, Canada, and South America. According to the Austin Chamber, the completed facility will support 3,600 jobs.
Check out the Buildzoom permit pages for Building 6 and Building 7.
